Quit on school, not your education

After an extended summer, today marks the first day of school, a time when most students would dread going back. In Hong Kong, the atmosphere is quite different, because thousands of students from over 200 highschools have decided to go on strike in protest against the government. They are joined by many university students whom have decided to walk out on school to show support for Hong Kong protestors. Many criticize these students for being naive or unappreciative of what they have. However they may have walked out of their schools but they didn’t give up on their education, because they understand what they are witnessing and supporting here is history in the making. Aftermath of August 31

To follow up with the aftermath of the police brutality experienced by patrons of the Prince Edward subway station. More details and video recordings are surfacing evidencing the excessive force used. There is news that one of the teens arrested that night was beaten into unconsciousness, foaming at the mouth. Medics who were eventually allowed to treat him after 30 minutes of unconsciousness suspected it was a cervical vertebrae injury. You can see in the videos below, the police officers had no intention to help him, rather they wanted to drag him into the control room to avoid media attention. Until other people stepped in and started questioning the motives of the officers.
