“I will not suicide”

By now it is a well known fact that when protesters are arrested, they often shout in front of journalists their name, identifying themselves so hopefully it will be picked up on camera and lawyers can seek them out and ensure a fair judicial process. Besides that, many of them also yell out “I will not suicide” to publicly declare that they will never have the intention of killing themselves.

Since the beginning of the protests, the amount of suicide cases have spiked to over 100 by end of October 2019. In the past 6 months, the amount of suicide cases have surpassed the aggregate total for the last decade. Many people suspects most cases involve foul play whereas there have been suspicions the Hong Kong Police are using this as a way to dispose bodies of protesters they capture.

Some attribute these suspicions to conspiracy theories, however on January 13, 2020, there was a “suicide” case that is unusually suspicious. Firstly, it took place not at the residence where the victim lived, rather it occurred at a residence that house police officers, custom agents and firefighters. Secondly, the window is an extremely small space and difficult to climb out of. Lastly, the victim appeared to climb out feet first despite the narrow window, and the body appeared to flail and was limbed the moment it exited the window.

The following is a video that was filmed as it happened with a reference picture to show the size of the window.

A resident of the building took a picture of the window at his respective staircase, showing the size of the window and the difficulty to climb through.

Regardless, the suspicions will continue to grow as the police’s reputation has been tarnished with their brutality and violence. Secondly, this type of behaviour is also consistent with what the Communist Party is known for with its “white terror” whereas they intend to coerce you into fear and there is simply nothing its people can do or prove.
