Shame
Certainly a word that is no longer in the Hong Kong Police’s vocabulary. In Tsim Sha Tsui, police were assembling hours before the rally in full gear as if they knew violence would erupt in a peaceful gathering of demonstrators.
Police were also seen performing “random” searches but seems to be questionable towards how they pick their targets

However protesters certainly did not enjoy how their peaceful protest was interrupted by the police’s incitement of violence. They were met with tear gas in broad daylight in the middle of traffic.
Let’s not forget the pepper spray the police loves to loosely deploy to threaten people wherever they go.
The following video shows how the police time and time again provoke and incite violence amongst peaceful protesters.
Towards the evening when majority of the public dispersed the police can be seen more ruthless towards bystanders and especially the media. The press have been consistently mistreated but now it has become violent.
Hong Kong people are definitely unique in their ingenuity and resilience throughout the protests. Below a man came up with an interesting method combating tear gas that were deployed amongst residences and businesses.
