The show goes on
With organizers urging Hong Kong people to come out and march again to have their voices heard, Hong Kong Police once again appeals and rejects protesters’ wish to let their voices be heard. This did not deter the people of Hong Kong to step on the streets in support of the 5 demands to be met.
It was a largely peaceful protest, however the gathering of protesters outside the government building was met with hostile actions from the police. The water canyon was used against those gathered in front of the government building, even the press were not spared from the hostilities.
Hired Guns
Not only do protesters have to deal with the Police’s instigative actions and excessive violence. People who came out to voice their opinions are also met with endangerment of counter-protesters with triad connections. With images of 7/21 in Yuen Long still haunting and angering the Hong Kong people, the white-clad mobsters return with violence.
The collusion between the police and the triads are becoming more apparent or ridiculously obvious when the police failed to arrest any “pro-government supporters” who are attacking the press and civilians. Instead one can see the harmonious relationship a knife wielding man can have with law enforcement.
